Design students, graduates of design-oriented degree courses (product design, 3D) and career entrants in this area with experience in the jewellery and accessories fields can apply. Young goldsmiths and practitioners of related trades are also welcome.

A marvellous place to live, enjoy yourself and party, a furnished and equipped studio, and guidance and support from experienced jewellery designers. There will be regular meetings with the jewellery designers at which the current collection will be discussed, you can get some tips and advice, any minor problems will be sorted out and you can learn a great deal about the subsequent business of actually producing the pieces of jewellery.
The highlights from each year will be brought together in themed collections and presented to the public in an appropriate environment. Limited editions of the designs will then be distributed to selected specialist retailers. This is the best launching pad for gifted up-and-coming designers to make a name for themselves. Apart from that, you’ll naturally have a share in the profits from each piece that gets sold ...
No. Spreeglanz will cover all of your accommodation, studio and material costs for this year in the Spreeglanzhaus, as well as – by arrangement – your travel expenses for your journey there and back. You will additionally receive a meal allowance of EUR 500 as a monthly lump sum.
This possibility is still being looked into, although at the moment it seems rather improbable. In any event, though, you will receive a reference and a certificate. There will also be a chance to make your name known to a wider public when the final collection is presented – this will be a stylish and high-profile event.
Of course, living and working together makes it necessary to establish a few rules. For that reason, we will draw up an agreement with each housemate in which is everything is set down clearly and precisely.
You can apply all the year round for a place in the Spreeglanz residential community. We'll let you know which moving-in date your application is being considered for and/or whether you have been selected for the next round.
First enter your contact details in the form provided for the purpose, then fill in the relevant field with a short CV (résumé) and describe for us why you want to become part of this designers' living and working community.
Apart from that we would like you to upload pictures of three pieces that you have already created. These don't have to be pieces of jewellery: they could be drawings, sculptures, photographs, or anything of a similar nature that gives expression to your creativity.
We'll send you a prompt confirmation of your application and then get in touch with you.
We will make every effort to keep you informed about developments throughout the entire selection process. To do this we will contact you by post, e-mail or telephone. Needless to say, Spreeglanz will treat your contact details as strictly confidential and will not forward them to third parties.
